Kick Dee Bar

1992 APHA sorrel overo stallion

Proving himself as a performer, Kick Dee Bar has earned an APHA Superior in reining, while winning more than $23,900 at NRHA events. He has held the top spot on the APHA Reining Honor Roll, placed in the top five in Senior and Junior Reining at the APHA World Show, and won the Freestyle Reining and the Reining Sweepstakes at two World Shows.

Kick Dee Bar is proving to sire good minded athletes like himself as well. From his first limited foal crop, he sired Smokin At The Bar, (pictured right) who won the 2001 RMRHA Summer Slide Stallion Stakes Futurity. Steve showed this flashy colt to top finishes in the Open and Intermediate Open Futurities as well. Following the Summer Slide, Smokin At The Bar was purchased by Pat Warren of Arizona. At the 2002 NRHA Derby, Smokin At the Bar was an Intermediate Open Finalist. This nice paint horse now has over $6,400 in NRHA earnings to his credit.

At the 2002 Summer Slide Futurity, Kick Dee Bar sired the Limited Non-Pro futurity Champion, Bar Kickin Dolly. This nice mare, pictured left, is owned and shown by Travis Chapman.

Another winning offspring of Kick Dee Bar is Texas Side Kick.

Texas Side Kick has been winning big titles since his 3 year old year, and is a multiple Morrison and Lawson Bronze winner. Included in his winas are the 2002 Denver Summerslide Open Stallion Stakes, the 2003 Sagebrush Slide Open Derby and the CMRHA Memorial Derby. He also was a NRHA Intermediate Open Futurity Finalist, and won the 2003 RMRHA Novice Horse Open year end title. As of 1/2004, Texas Side Kick now has over $10,000 in NRHA earnings.
